Selva Negra Estate fresh roasted coffee beans are farmed by the Kuhl family in the mountainous region of Matagalpa, Nicaragua. This family-owned farm dates back to 1883 and is in its sixth generation of coffee cultivation. Eddy and Mausi Kuhl, along with their daughter Heddy, continue the time-honored tradition started by their German ancestors who immigrated to Nicaragua for the purpose of starting a coffee plantation.
